A Bit About Me

My story begins with my fascination for the bagpipes at the age of 7. Before I knew how to even hold this complex instrument, I knew that I was going to be a bagpiper. I was privelaged to be tuaght by my dedicated tutor, Donald Campbell and  after a few years I progressed quickly and joined the Army cadet pipe band to further develope my skills on the pipes. I even became the pipe major of my detatchment band and played in multiple historic events such as the Falcon Square and Eden Court in Inverness, Edinburgh Castle, Balmoral Castle for HM the Queen, and the Rorkes Drift Concert in Wales. After my experiences as pipe major, I took to the international stage at the World Pipe Band Championships and I'm now assisting Uddingston Strathclyde Pipe Band in their push for a promotion into the higher grades. I wasn't just born with a passion for the bagpipes, I was born with the passion to share my music with everyone around me. This is why I play for Weddings, Funerals, and Private events. It allows me to bring joy to guests and even play the soulful soundtrack for a loved one as friends and family say their goodbyes. This is the best job in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything else!
